The brighter liquoring popular marks were barely steady to sometimes easier by up  to Rs. 2/-  to 3/- more.  The better medium teas were irregular around last. Medium & Plainer teas were barely steady.

 BUYING PATTERN: 

Major Packeters AVT/TGBL/KSCSC & HUL   were witnessed on the best and better medium sorts.   Other regional Packeters were selective.  Domestic buyers were choosy on their purchases.  Exporters continued their support on the Medium & Plainer bolder dust grades,

CTC LEAF:                         

Good general demand.  Market was firm to occasionally dearer for the Best brokens and Fannings. Others were irregular.  Internal and Upcountry buyers were selective with good support from Exporters on Best Mediums

Leaf –Orthodox:          

Good Demand, market continued dearer trend for best Nilgiri  Brokens, following quality. The whole leaf in this category were fully firm. Good Medium Larger brokens tended dearer. Smaller Brokens too saw a dearer trend.  Nilgiri & Medium Fannings also sold at dearer levels.

BUYING PATTERN:     

CIS/Middle east exporters were well active. Upcountry buyers lent fair support on whole leaf grades.

SOUTHINDIAN ROUNDUP FOR THE WEEKENDING 25^th JULY – 2015

OFFERINGS - SOUTH INDIA.                                               

KOCHI

Leaf – CTC  :          Fair demand.  Market tended easier for all types and shedded by Rs. 2/- to 4/-   .  Exporters lent fair support at lower levels.  Internal and Upcountry buyers were fairly active.

PRICES:

Leaf –Orthodox:           Fair demand, market tended easier by Rs.6/ to 10/- and sometimes more for better Nilgiri Brokens. Good Medium larger Broken were steady whilst the smaller brokens were at firm levels.  Fannings were irregular and barely steady. CIS/Middle east exporters were less active. Upcountry buyers lent fair support on whole leaf grades with firm price levels.

Green Tea:                     Good  demand from Internal & CST buyers. Market tended barely steady levels.

MARKET: -                       Best & Popular varieties showed irregular and easier trend on price levels.  Better medium & medium teas declined in value with some withdrawals, whilst the plainer teas tended lower.

BUYING PATTERN: Major Packeters AVT/HUL/KSCSC/TGBL showed the selective interest. Internal buyers were less active on their purchases. Selective buying from Inter State buyers.  Exporters operated on lower levels

Market                   - High-priced teas and Better Mediums were easier by Rs. 4/- to Rs. 5/- and sometimes  more.   Mediums irregularly easier by Rs. 2/- to Rs. 3/- and more following quality,   However Fannings were steady to easier by Rs. 2/-.  Plainers were irregularly lower by Rs. 1/- to Rs. 2/-.  

Buying Pattern      - Packeteers and blenders were active with fair support from the Exporters and Internal buyers.

Demand                 -  Fair

Market                   -  Whole leaf grade were steady to dearer by Rs. 3/- to Rs. 6/- and more following quality.  Brokens and Fannings were irregularly dearer by Rs. 4/- to Rs. 5/- at times more following quality. 

Buying Pattern      - Exporters were active on all grades with Internal being selective.
